Vintage scarves drop, Wed 2 PM Paris
The Hermès Les Cavaliers d’Or scarf was first issued in 1975, created by Vladimir Rybaltchenko for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s exhibition The Gold of the Scythians.
Inspired by the treasures of these nomadic warriors, the design features ornate combs, clasps, pectorals, amulets, and golden animals, symbols of power and artistry from a vanished civilization. Every element is drawn with striking precision and arranged in a perfectly balanced composition.
In this colorway, a royal blue border enhances the radiance of the gold motifs against ivory silk, making the carré as much an artifact as an accessory.
