HERMÈS PROFILÉ SCARF

This Hermès scarf, crafted by artist Guillemot, boasts a truly intriguing backstory. At its core, nestled within antique bridles, lie two intertwined "H" letters, marking the union of Emile Hermès and Julie Hollande in 1900. Originally mounted on the doors of the 24 Faubourg St Honoré boutique during a significant renovation in 1924, this monogram still graces the lift that operated during that era. Decades later, a memorable incident involving Richard Nixon, the then President of the United States, occurred when he became trapped in this very lift, much to the surprise of onlookers and his bodyguards. In tribute to this eventful encounter, the lift was renamed in honor of its famous temporary occupant
