Mirror Gloss

Mirror Gloss, included in our Basic Shoe Care Set and Ultimate Shoe Care Set, is a paste wax designed for fast and flawless glaçage (mirror shine).

Made from the hardest natural waxes, including montan wax, carnauba wax, and beeswax, it delivers an intense high-gloss finish with minimal effort. Unlike Pâte de Luxe, which also nourishes the leather, Mirror Gloss is a pure finishing product and does not hydrate the leather. It is intended exclusively for hard areas of the shoe such as the toe cap and heel.

How to use

Apply Mirror Gloss in very thin layers to clean shoes using a cotton cloth. Small drops of water can be added during application to build shine. Allow the wax to dry between layers, then buff gently to remove any residue.

Advice

• Mirror Gloss is a finishing product intended to obtain high shine, not a cleaning product.
• If shoes are dirty or clogged with wax, silicone, or resin residues, clean the leather first with Deep Shoe Reno Cleaner. Always test on an inconspicuous area before full application.
• If shoes are regularly cleaned, use a Gentle Shoe Cleanser to gently clean and moisturise the leather pores without damaging the patina.
• Before applying Mirror Gloss, nourish the leather by alternating care with Cream 1925 Pommadier and Pâte de Luxe to build a deeper shine.
• The safest option is to use a neutral shoe cream and wax, avoiding the need to match colors. Neutral cream also prevents gradual color changes from repeated use of tinted polish. Note that it takes many applications of the same colored polish for noticeable changes, as only about 10% of the pigment adheres to the leather. For black shoes, always use black polish exclusively.
