Pâte de Luxe Wax Polish

Pâte de Luxe is a rich paste wax made with premium natural waxes and pigments, designed for the care and finishing of fine leather shoes. It is especially known for achieving a refined glaçage (mirror shine), particularly on the toe and heel, and is included in our Basic Shoe Care Set and Ultimate Shoe Care Set.

The formula combines beeswax, carnauba wax, and mineral waxes, bound with natural turpentine spirit to improve absorption, nourish the leather, and provide long-lasting protection with a high-gloss finish. Transparent pigments penetrate the leather, allowing subtle colour blending and the development of a deep, elegant patina.

Unlike Mirror Gloss, which is formulated exclusively for a fast mirror finish and does not nourish the leather, Pâte de Luxe offers both care and shine. Its softer formula feeds and protects the leather while allowing a mirror shine to be built gradually with proper technique.

How to use

Apply a small amount of Pâte de Luxe with a cotton cloth or brush and gently massage into the leather. Allow to dry for a few minutes, then buff with a soft brush. For a mirror finish, apply additional thin layers to the toe and heel only, avoiding excess on flexible areas.

Advice

• Use Pâte de Luxe alternately with Pommadier, which contains more fluid waxes for deep leather nourishment.
• If you have previously used shoe polishes from other brands, remove silicone and resin residues with Deep Shoe Reno Cleaner. It is also recommended for periodic deep cleaning of leather.
• The safest option is to use a neutral shoe cream and wax, avoiding the need to match colors. Neutral cream also prevents gradual color changes from repeated use of tinted polish. Note that it takes many applications of the same colored polish for noticeable changes, as only about 10% of the pigment adheres to the leather. For black shoes, always use black polish exclusively.
