Saddle Soap

Saddle Soap is designed to thoroughly clean dirt and remove old layers from leather goods. Formulated with glycerin, it is ideal for cleaning rough and oily leathers. As the name suggests, this soap should be used with water, making it especially effective for scrubbing and cleaning heavily soiled items, such as shoes. For handbags, it’s recommended to use Saddle Soap only on specific stained areas rather than the entire surface. The best application method is with the included sponge applicator or a brush.

Tip: For classic smooth leather or heavily soiled canvas items, use Shampoo. For lightly soiled leather, canvas, delicate leather and Nappa leather, use Foam Cleaner. For suede and nubuck, opt for Suede Cleaner.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

1. Dampen a cloth or brush (or this) and extract the necessary amount of soap from the box. Alternatively, dilute the soap in water to create a solution, adjusting based on the level of soiling on your leather product.
2. Apply the soap or soap solution in a circular motion, gently pressing it onto the leather item.
3. After cleaning the product, wipe it first with a clean damp cloth and then with a clean dry cloth, allowing it to air dry.
4. Once dry (after 12-24 hours), apply a Renovator cream, Nappa cream or Mink Oil, and buff with a brush (or this) for optimal care

PRECAUTIONS: Some leathers may have unstable pigmentation, which could lead to discoloration when using the soap. To avoid this, it is recommended to test the product on a small, inconspicuous area first.
