The Hermès “Musée” scarf is a refined collector’s piece that reflects the maison’s fascination with heritage and craftsmanship. Designed by Philippe Ledoux in 1962, it brings together carefully chosen artifacts from the Hermès archive and the French Maritime Museum. At the center is a ship’s wheel, surrounded by ceremonial saddles, postilion boots, imperial harnesses and navigational tools, all illustrated with exceptional detail.

The design is built on a white silk base with an orange Hermès border and finished in gold, navy, and deep green. Each object appears almost three-dimensional, as if arranged in a private gallery. “Musée” was reissued only twice and remains a sought-after example of Ledoux’s most intricate work.
